The Sheriff’s Communications Section serves as the Primary Answering Point for all 911 calls received in Bay County, with the exception of those calls that come from landlines within the City Limits of Panama City.

In 2010 the Communications Section processed 248,780 telephone calls, 92,170 of which were received via 911.

This section also assigned 90,393 cases to response personnel and made 3,400 entries into the NCIC/FCIC systems.  Our Communications Specialists dispatched 6,619 calls for service in Parker and Mexico Beach as well.
