The Bay County Sheriff’s Office seized meth, fentanyl, prescription pills, and firearms yesterday and arrested one after a traffic stop.
BCSO investigators spotted a car being driven erratically and noticed the passenger wasn’t wearing a seatbelt and conducted a traffic stop at Sherman Avenue and 15th Street in Panama City.
With the assistance of a K9 and handler from the Parker Police Department, a K9 sweep around the vehicle was conducted and the dog alerted to the presence of illegal narcotics.
Found in the back seat of the vehicle was ten grams of methamphetamine, 120 grams of fentanyl, THC oil and edibles, two firearms, and more than three thousand dollars in cash. The driver was identified as Drapper Allen Lear, age 35, of 6107 Letohatchee Street, Panama City. Lear claimed ownership of all the narcotics and the passenger of the vehicle was not charged. A search of Lear revealed thirty-seven pills of Dilaudid on his person.
Lear was charged withTrafficking Fentanyl more than 28 grams, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Controlled Substance (Dilaudid), Possession of THC Oil and Edibles, and Possession of Firearm by Convicted Felon.
