Armed Robbery Suspects Flee From Deputies And Found In The Woods

On April 10th, 2025, BCSO Deputies located a vehicle believed to be involved in an armed robbery in Springfield the previous day. A traffic stop was attempted on 79 and Steel Field Road. A chase ensued reaching speeds of over 100mph.

After a successful spike, the vehicle attempted to drive again at high speeds northbound on 79 with FHP hot on their tail. The 2 suspects fled deep into the woods while BCSO Deputies, Florida Highway Patrol Troopers, MyFWC Florida Fish and Wildlife and Panama City Beach Police Department Officers, and Walton County Sheriff’s Office, Florida Deputies arrived on scene to set up a perimeter.

In addition to the armed robbery charges, Jerrold Stewart was charged with Fleeing and Eluding, and resisting without violence. Michael Sanders was charged with resisting without violence. FHP also charged them with multiple traffic violations.
