Hello BCSO Family,
Just a quick reminder… if life is getting a little heavy (on or off the job), you’ve got resources available to help carry some of that load. Our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) through Optum is available to all employees and your families. It’s completely confidential and at no cost to you.
It’s there for real-life stuff like:
When should you use it?
Anytime. You don’t have to wait until things are “bad enough.” If it’s on your mind, it’s reason enough.
How to reach EAP:
Another reminder on the EAP, feel free to contact our Personnel Department here at BCSO with any questions you may have as well. They are a wonderfully equipped resource for you all, and they are ready, willing, and able to help you get pointed in the right direction.
Also, don’t forget about our CISM (Critical Incident Stress Management) Team. This is your BCSO peer support folks who understand the job and are here for you after tough calls, or anytime you just need to talk with someone who gets it.
CISM Points of Contact:
Additionally, we’ve built strong relationships with trusted local Mental Health providers who bring decades of experience in family counseling and trauma-focused therapy. They understand the unique challenges that come with this line of work, and both of these providers accept our insurance (United Healthcare/UMR):
Ted Randall, LMFT – 850-739-0851
Take care of yourselves.
