BCSO ASIM TRAINING

For the past month, first responders from across Bay County have been hard at work preparing for the unthinkable.

Today, we’re taking you behind the scenes of our Active Shooter Response Training at Merritt Brown Middle School. This intensive, month-long training brought together law enforcement, fire rescue, EMS, school officials, and other public safety partners to strengthen our coordinated response in the event of a critical incident.

These scenarios are realistic, challenging, and demanding. But that’s by design. We train together so that if the day ever comes when our community needs us, we’re ready to respond as one.

A huge thank you to every agency, instructor, role player, volunteer, and school staff member who dedicated their time and effort throughout this month of training. Your commitment to working together makes Bay County safer.
