BCSO DEPUTY INVOLVED SHOOTING 10/28/25

The Bay County Sheriff’s Office is releasing video footage from an officer-involved shooting that occurred on October 28th at a residence off Clement Drive in Southport.

The Bay County Sheriff’s Office responded to a 911 call in reference to a subject threatening his family with a knife. Upon arrival the subject emerged from the residence and proceeded to charge the deputy with a weapon. This resulted in the deputy discharging his firearm at the subject. Emergency aid was given by the deputy which was taken over by EMS. The suspect was transported to Bay Medical where he was pronounced deceased.

This video is being shared in the interest of transparency and to provide the community with a clearer understanding of the events that took place. Viewer discretion is advised, as the footage contains sensitive material.

We have spoken to the family and they are aware this video will be released today. It is not our desire to be insensitive to their grief. Please pray for this family and for the deputy involved in this incident.
