MAN ARRESTED AFTER ONE YEAR ON THE RUN

The Bay County Sheriff’s Office responded to the report of a homicide on August 18, 2018, at 5824 Cherry Street in Callaway. The victim was lying on the ground. He was identified as Demetrius Traylor, age 19. Subsequent investigation identified Jacorien Keion Thomas as the suspect. Thomas fled Bay County and was not located. Warrants were issued for Thomas for Manslaughter and Felon in Possession of a Firearm.

After
nearly a year on the run, Jacorien Thomas was recently located by law
enforcement in Polk County, Florida. He has been extradited to Bay County and
now resides in the Bay County Jail.
