The Bay County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest on April 6, 2019, of a man caught possessing large quantities of meth amphetamine.
Information
was developed by deputies in the Field Services division that there was an
armed man going to drop off the meth in a parking lot on the East end of Panama
City Beach.
Field
Services deputies made contact with the man and confirmed that he was armed.
They placed him under arrest and confiscated 44 grams of meth amphetamine, some
marijuana, and a Ruger 380 hand gun that was found to be stolen out of
Tennessee.
Prior
convicted felon, James Michael Hankins of Nashville, Tennessee was charged with
Trafficking in meth amphetamine, Possession of drug paraphernalia, Possession
of marijuana less than 20 grams, Carrying a concealed firearm, and Felon in
possession of a firearm.
