Inmate Property

Inmate Property

Property for those persons newly booked into the Bay County Jail is inventoried and goes into the property room (with the exception of firearms, weapons and flammables) and is securely stored.

Inmates are issued clothing and hygiene with weekly exchanges.

Inmates may view copies of their personal mail through access of the Kiosk and have in their possession legal correspondence.

Commissary items purchased by the inmates within the Jail Facility may be retained by the inmate throughout their incarceration with an accompanying receipt.

When an inmate is released, that inmate will have thirty days in which to pick up any personal property belonging to him/her.  After thirty days this property will be considered abandoned property and will be discarded.
