The Bay County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of six individuals for burglary in the Treasure Circle area of Panama City Beach this morning. The area was one of several locations significantly damaged by the strong storms and tornados that hit Bay County and the surrounding counties Tuesday morning.

A curfew was placed upon the area from 9pm to 6am to lower the risk of looting. This morning at about 11AM six men were spotted leaving a damaged home carrying items. After speaking with the men, deputies and investigators arrested them.

Those arrested were Miguel Rivera-Rodrigues, age 36, Elder Manuel Paz Rapalo, age 35, Jose Manuel DeLira Castenada, age 34, and Edgar Adrian Garcia Sanchez, age 38. These four men were charged with Burglary. Two additional men arrested and charged with Principal to Burglary were Jose De Jesus Lozano-Lara, age 24, and Diego Fabian Villaneuva-Aguilar, age 21.

“Looting will not be tolerated,” Sheriff Tommy Ford said. “Anyone who tries to victimize someone who has already lost so much will be caught and prosecuted.”
