The Bay County Sheriff's Office Warrants Division announced the arrest of Ashley Burgess, age 45, on multiple narcotics trafficking warrants out of Bay County. Burgess, a fugitive, had taken up residence in St. Paul, MN.
On 
January 10, 2024, the Bay County Warrants Division developed information that Burgess had fled to Minnesota to avoid arrest on the outstanding warrants.
On January 24, 2024, Warrants investigators learned that Ashley Burgess was staying at a residence in the city of St Paul. Investigators contacted the Ramsey County Sheriff's Office in St Paul, Minnesota, and requested them to respond to the residence. Ramsey County deputies located Burgess at the provided residence, and he was arrested without incident.
Ashley Burgess was subsequently charged for new law violations by the Ramsey County Sheriff’s Office. He now faces Felon in Possession of a Firearm and Possession of Crack Cocaine. Ashley Burgess will be extradited back to Bay County, Florida once the additional charges are concluded in Minnesota.
